The Foundation for Blood Ailments is a charitable trust based in New Delhi, India. Our mission is to provide support to patients of blood ailments, and prevent the spread of blood ailments

Vision 2010
  1. To become the most comprehensive source of preventive and curative information on blood ailments in India
  2. To be running Thalassemia Awareness programs at all major educational institutes and corporate offices
  3. To lay the foundation of a functional bone marrow registry in India
Charter
  1. To become the number one recommendation of all hematologists to patients for care and support
  2. To collect signatures of 50 lakh young people stating their understanding of Thalassemia and to test 1 lakh people for the Thalassemia Trait by 2010
  3. Zero Beta Thalassemia births in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkatta, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Bangalore by 2020
  4. To create a bone marrow registry with 2010 donors by 2010
The “Get Yourself Tested Campaign”

Launched by FBA in August 2007, the campaign aims to curb the spread of Beta Thalassemia in India. It is spreading the message of “Get Your Partner and Yourself Tested” through matrimonial websites and through a mass email campaign. The message has been endorsed by several renowned hematologists.
