"Each person in our team has been picked carefully based on the values we hold very close to our hearts. Our value system is based on three principles:

FBA started out as an effort by members of families affected by blood ailments. After 2 years of ideation and hard work, it was registered as a Charitable Trust in New Delhi in July 2007. Today we work with a team of eminent doctors and our volunteers include people from diverse backgrounds.
FBA’s people are its strength. The people at FBA bring what is unique to the organization – sharp focus on knowledge dissemination, strategic thinking and the energy of youth.
Gaurav Kwatra (Member of Board)
Gaurav has been involved in efforts related to blood ailments, in various capacities, for more than 2 years. After graduating from IIT Delhi, he worked as a Business Manager for a major Financial Services company based in Washington DC. He currently works as a Project Manager for the Public Health Foundation of India, a non-profit based in New Delhi.
Dr. Harshit Jain (Member of Board)
Being a doctor, Harshit was exposed to blood ailments during his under-graduate. He has been working for the cause of blood diseases for 3 years. After receiving his MBBS from UCMS, Delhi, Harshit had a one year stint in the United States. He has since returned to his home country, and now works with an upcoming disease management firm leading their efforts in India.
Meenakshi Chhabra (Member of Board)
Meenakshi has worked for various non-profit organizations since her under-graduate years. She has been involved in efforts related to blood ailments for over 2 years, now. Meenakshi studied engineering at IIT, Delhi. She is currently based in Mumbai and works as a management consultant with The Monitor Group, a leading strategy consulting firm.
Amit Gupta
The youngest member of the team. He is working on the web development of FBA india site. He is currently studying engineering at IIT Delhi.
Kiran Desai
Kiranbhai has been involved in efforts related to blood ailments for more than a decade. Kiran is based in Chicago, Illinois. He is a co-founder of the Asian American Bone Marrow Foundation (AABMF) and adds invaluable experience and guidance to the group.
Manu Saxena
Manu, a recent addition to the team, is currently working on developing the web content for the FBA India site. He is an undergraduate student, currently studying engineering at IIT Delhi.
Dr. Payal Mahajan
Payal is studying post-graduate at Mangalore and currently helping with developing content for our website.
Roma Bhatkoti
Roma is the latest addition to our team and is helping with partnerships and publicity. She is a post graduate from the Delhi College of Engineering and is currently working as an R&D engineer at a leading water company.
Shavi Goel
Shavi is working on corporate relationships for FBA India. She studied engineering at IIT, Delhi. Shavi has been involved with various community activities - the last one was with a Delhi based NGO for the cause of rehabilitation for the destitute and HIV/TB patients. She is currently based in Mumbai and works as a management consultant with AT Kearney.
Varun Garg
Varun, with a background of real estate construction, engineering and consulting, is helping with fund raising and relationship development and has been working for blood ailments for more than a year.
